Jitter Click Test

Measure your jitter clicking speed in CPS. Tense up, vibrate-click as fast as you can, and see where you land.

How jitter clicking works

Instead of moving one finger, you stiffen your wrist and arm so the muscles tremble, and that tremble taps the button rapidly. It takes practice to control, and the CPS you get is far higher than relaxed clicking — but so is the strain.

Measuring it fairly

Pick a window and click for the whole duration. A 5-second test shows your peak burst; 10 seconds shows what you can sustain. Your best run is kept in the Best CPS pill.

FAQ

What is jitter clicking?

Jitter clicking is a technique where you tense your arm and wrist to create a rapid vibration, firing the mouse button much faster than normal clicking. Skilled jitter clickers reach 10–14 CPS.

Is jitter clicking bad for you?

It can be. The muscle tension involved puts strain on your hand, wrist and forearm, and over long sessions has been linked to repetitive-strain discomfort. Use it in short bursts and stop if it hurts.

Does jitter clicking damage my mouse?

It adds a lot of extra actuations, which can shorten switch life and eventually cause chatter (double-clicking). If you're worried about chatter, run the double-click test to check.
